In-Situ vs Rib & Block Slabs

In-situ (cast-in-place) slabs are poured on-site, offering design flexibility but costing more due to extensive formwork, labor, and materials, suited for larger spans and multi-story buildings, while Rib & Block uses precast ribs and hollow blocks, reducing concrete, labor, and time, making it more cost-effective for smaller buildings (up to ~4 floors).

Rib & Block saves costs and time as components are factory-made and it needs less scaffolding, but in-situ provides greater structural monolithic strength for large projects.
